Mr Anagnostaras-Adams (B. Comm, MBA) founded KEFI, was inaugural Chairman and has been Executive Chairman since 2014. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Systems) from the University of New South Wales, Australia and a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr Anagnostaras-Adams also founded AIM and TSX-listed Atalaya Mining PLC (previously EMED Mining Public Ltd) which is now a major European copper producer and Venus Minerals PLC which is exploring for copper in Cyprus. Mr Anagnostaras-Adams has previously served as the Managing Director of Atalaya Mining PLC, ASX and AIM-listed, Devex Limited (later Gympie Gold Limited), Executive Director of investment company Pilatus Capital Ltd., General Manager of the resources investment group Clayton Robard Limited Group, Senior Investment Manager of Citicorp Capital Investors Australia Ltd. and serves (or has served) as a Non-Executive Director of many other public and private companies across a range of industries. He has led or supported many successful natural resource investment companies and start-ups in gold, natural gas, industrial minerals.
Mr Leach was appointed Non-Executive Director and part-time Finance Director in December 2006 with responsibility for oversight of the Company’s finance and accounting functions. In August 2016, he assumed a full-time role as Finance Director as part of the Company’s transition towards gold production.
Mr Leach holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Master of Business Administration. Mr Leach qualified as a Chartered Accountant in both Australia and Canada and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Directors. He has over 30 years’ experience in senior financial and executive director positions within the mining industry internationally. Mr Leach has served on the Board of AIM and TSX-listed Atalaya Mining PLC (2007 to 2014) and is a former Chairman of the boards of Pan Continental Oil & Gas NL (2017), Resource Mining Corporation Limited (2006 to 2007) and served on the Board of Gympie Gold Limited (1995 to 2003).
Dr Alistair Clark was Managing Director, Environment and Sustainability Department at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (“EBRD”) from 2001 to 2021. Alistair obtained his PhD from Imperial College, London and was recently a Non-Executive Director of UK Export Finance and Chair of the Export Guarantees Advisory Council.
Mr Addis Alemayehou serves as the Chairman of Kazana Group, a diversified investment firm dedicated to early-stage, high-impact, tech-driven, and climate-smart initiatives, aiming to generate mass employment in Africa. Renowned for launching transformative ventures in Ethiopia, Mr Alemayehou established Kana TV, the country’s first dubbed television station; Afro FM, Ethiopia’s inaugural English-language radio station; and 251 Communications, a leading communications company. He also provides advisory services to global institutions on investment opportunities in East Africa. Currently, Mr Alemayehou is a Board Member of Dangote Industries Ethiopia.
Ms Maleda Bisrat is the Ethiopian Country Director at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, leading a multidisciplinary team working closely with the government on economic reform, investment, job creation and digital transformation. Prior to this, she was an adviser to the Ethiopian Investment Commission supporting industrialisation, investment promotion and climate initiatives. Maleda is also a Non-Executive Director of Financial Sector Deepening Ethiopia, an agency that is helping develop accessible, inclusive and sustainable financial markets for economic growth and development, and a Non-Executive Director of Zebidar Foundation, an organisation committed to improving quality of education for students living in underserved communities.
Mr Callow has extensive experience in building mines in Africa, with previous roles including Head of African Copper Operations for Glencore, CEO of Mopani Copper Mines and Mutanda Copper Mine in Zambia and the DRC, COO of Consolidated Copper Corp, and in the last seven years with Toubani Resources, initially as COO before becoming CEO, transitioning to Executive Chairman, and more recently to the role of Non-Executive Director.
Alongside the executive directors, the following long-standing international specialists comprise the KEFI Gold and Copper senior management team.
Our senior executive team is presently almost entirely dedicated to development and support of the majority-owned organisation in Ethiopia. In the Ethiopian holding company, KME Holdings Limited, Deputy Chairman and Country Director for Ethiopia is Abera Mamo and Ethiopian Development Manager is Dr Kebede Belete.

Eddy began his career in the mining industry in 1986 and has since worked in open cut and underground metalliferous mines, as well as in coal, gold and mineral sands in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, Mozambique and Namibia.
Eddy is founder of GPR Dehler, an independent, international management consultancy which specialises in productivity improvement for mining companies worldwide, especially in the areas of human resources development and performance improvement.
He is adept at providing swift assessment, analysis and development of solutions and strategies for achieving strategic, operational and financial objectives integrating process, people and technology. He is a seasoned facilitator experienced in designing and conducting interactive strategy workshops and overhauling organisational teams and the performance thereof.
KEFI’s founding Managing Director, responsible for leading the Company’s discoveries and selection of the Tulu Kapi Gold Project. Recently rejoined to deliver KEFI’s next discoveries after nearly a decade with major mining houses including Ivanhoe and Hancock Prospecting.
Rob began his career in mining as an underground miner in 1978 and subsequently completed tertiary and postgraduate qualifications in Mining Engineering, Business Administration and Finance while working in every operational area and support function (in most cases at a leadership level) on a variety of mine sites from Bougainville (Rio – Copper) to Henty (Barrick – Gold) and some start-ups with the Executive Chairman as well, in Australia and Europe.
Norman is a graduate mechanical and professional engineer with the key experience of having managed large mining and refining construction projects from concept to completion with more than 30 years’ experience in this field. Major projects include Hillside Aluminium smelter, the Skorpion Zinc project and the Husab Uranium mine as well as number of deep level underground mines. He also founded and built Green Team international (GTI) into a successful project engineering firm providing construction implementation and engineering support to mainly African mines.
As the Group advances development, operational readiness and production operations in more than one site, the governance and oversight processes include the relevant company boards, committees and the bespoke teams designed around the priorities of the day. These teams include officers from our partners and specialist advisers from the external consulting groups with whom we maintain active working relationships.
The Group Financial Controller is Laki Catsamas based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
TKGM’s management team includes Simon Cleghorn as Managing Director, Theron Brand as Finance Director, Jacques Kruger as Project Manager.
Gold and Minerals Company in Saudi Arabia (GMCO)
KEFI has installed, monitored and supported the GMCO management team since that company was launched in 2008. GMCO now stands independently of KEFI support systems and reports to the GMCO Board. GMCO has a large team led by a development-focused CEO. GMCO’s Board includes the ARTAR CEO and CIO, KEFI Chairman, former Deputy Minister of Mines and former CEO of Centerra.
